Our new favorite place is officially the Cookie Jar. It's a restaurant, dairy, farm, and playground in a nearby town. The front porch that faces the mountain range is lined with rocking chairs. The boys immediately found rockers just their size.
The food is good home cooking like chicken livers (YUM), fried catfish, and big slices of homemade pies and cakes.
Clark entertained himself by licking salt off his napkin.
This picture captures Joel in his truest form--a hard headed clown.
He is something else, but we love him.
After eating, we toured the farm and play area. There were little playhouses along the path.
Goats, cows, bunnies, ducks, chickens, a pony, and a donkey were some of the animals we met along the way.
At the end of the path, there was a huge wooden play fort and swing set. Michael and I sat in the wooden swing and watched our boys.
We let Clark take a picture of us which might have been his favorite part. He got really excited to take pictures. I think he took 10 or so in just a few seconds.
Wow you guys have been busy!!!! what else has been going on??? Love you guys,Meggan
ReplyDeleteHey, Meggan! Yep, we've been busy. We ripped out that ugly green carpet in our living room today, and we're putting down wood floors. We recently came into a little bit of money because a store employee stole something of ours that he was supposed to be repairing. The store took good care of us! We got robbed this week too. Someone tried to rip out Michael's truck stereo. They couldn't get it, but they took the kids' DVD player and a few tools. Luckily we had just fixed the garage door, so our van was safe from attack!! MOPS has been keeping me busy. We've grown, and the ministry is taking off!! That's so exciting! I've had more energy lately, so I've been able to do more around the house. And my babysitting kid has been sick for the past two weeks. He has been in and out the hospital. He had a stomach virus tear up his intestines. That's about it for now!
